Bull
Modern meaning
The bull is a massively popular symbol, both traditionally (across many cultures) and in our own time. It is commonly associated with power and virility and usually also associated with masculinity, the sun and kings.
In some cultures there is a historic connotation between the bull and the weather, particularly rain.
In logo design today, the type of power the bull symbolizes is important. It differs from that of the lion, for example, in that it is more of a brute/unstoppable force - similar to a freight train - where a lion may symbolize a power that is more focused/restrained, though equally explosive.
