The vertical bars in this logo image gives a solid feel of strength and trust, and this should be visible in a construction company logo.
We presented a couple of layouts with the dark colors like black, deep blue, purple and light colors like gray, bright green and blue. In one layout the 'M' in the company name was replaced with the logo image which also represents an 'M'.
The layout seen here was chosen as the final one - simple but striking.
